zomfg, a journal!

Wed Jan 21, 2009, 7:53 PM
post-pre-script: Anybody here have a Canon camera? If so, see the end of this entry...

So, I never write these. Well, that's not true, I wrote one last year. Or in 2007, I don't know. *Checks* Apparently my last journal entry doesn't exist. I think I deleted it about 2 months ago, but not sure.

Anyways, I just gotta say, blurgh, working a full-time job takes a lot of my time.

Now, for the real important stuff, I looked through one of my non-dA galleries, and see I have a lot of photos I should upload to here. That'll take a couple hours to sort through and upload, so it'll be done sometime eventually. Drunken wasps must be shown!

Anyways, onto another note. My camera, <insert non-existent photo here> recently had a breakdown: the automated camera lens flaps came out of place, so they were stuck blocking the lens. However, like the last time it broke down, I just popped it open and fixed it up, so now it's as good as new.

Now, a question to others who own Canon cameras: how many photos can you get to before the numbers reset? A month or so ago I broke the upper bound on mine of 5096. So, it was going IMG_5095, IMG_5096, IMG_0001. Or, in the folder/in-camera numbering, 100-5095, 100-5096, 102-0001.

Very interesting how you always upload sort of in a series. Where does this idea come from?

Do you mean in terms of my recent "poem" or the fact that I always seem to upload about 5 photos at a time, then nothing for a couple months?

Or do you mean series in the content of the shots?
:iconup-on-cpu:
Both of those first ones.

Explanation for the poem is in the description of the poem. The spurious nature of my uploads is when I finally decide to take photos off my camera and I see some of them are halfway decent.

I usually do this once every few months.

Oh, I sooo should've seen that coming...Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and add you to my devwatch, and my True Friends list because you were the first person that talked to me that wasn't a prick on IRC. Wow that was quite awhile back...We will have to catch up, but not currently because my computer hates me...feel free to read my journal on that...
Yes, I know, I type too much, but I can't help it XD

Power of kindness, power of care,
Give me me the essence of your true power.
Grant me the truth to make things fair,
To grant each true friend's greatest desire.

Hey, you took a couple great photographs recently but I can't comment on them because I have a strict personal policy of never commenting on anything that has a watermark on it. What's the deal with that?

Wasn't really paying attention, and thought the checkboxes for "allow fullsize" and "put watermark" were radio buttons, not checkboxes.

Meant to fix them, forgot, been done now.

Try to be kind to those you meet. For everyone is fighting a difficult battle in life. A kind word, a smile, an understanding touch of the hand, can do much to ease another's burden, even if only a little.
